TRAIN TO MACHU PICCHU | Our PeruRail Vistadome Train experience

TRAIN TO MACHU PICCHU | Our PeruRail Vistadome Train experience

we are almost a machu picchu station in
about two minutes we are going to be docking adopting land a land arriving good morning from Cusco
right now we are inside the colectivo and then we’re about to head out to at
small town called Ollantaytambo and that’s where we gonna catch
our train up way up, or gets way down way down that done it much Picchu yeah
to Aguas Calientes and then we’re gonna stay there overnight
and then we’re gonna wake up really early probably about 4 o’clock tomorrow
morning and make our way over to Machu Picchu to try to be first in line but
first we’ve got this two-hour ride which by the way costs 10 soles per person
about three dollars each as vehicles say unless and what I’m really excited about
is the train we actually bought the ticket from home for a rail and it’s
gonna be our first training experience it’s the pictures sierra if the pictures
prove to be right it’s gonna be a nice trying to safety first we made it we have just arrived in
origin paid tombow or whatever oh yeah a young maid Tom eventually and we were
told originally this was gonna be a two-hour ride and we left this morning
at about latest quarter past eight and it is now 9:30 so an hour and fifteen
minutes the drive is beautiful and it seems like is some kind of shortcut look
like was a pretty new road and it just goes right along with the Poirot Rail
Trail yeah so it’s pretty cool anyway we’re going to go and look for
the train station because it looks like we’re up a little bit high for the train
station so we’re gonna have to go down this little town is actually pretty
Queen surrounded by mountain and just right behind us and it already can see
it this where the famous Oriente tombow ruins but you’re gonna visit later we’re
gonna go get a coffee and see if we can get a massage no one had a massage on
the top spot with the low ceiling well we’re done with our coffee and now
about what ten minute walk to the train station it gets our train to aguas
calientes aguas calientes for hot springs we got to find snacks that we
can’t finally snacks every time we go into a place it’s like terrible snacks
yeah so we’re hopeful the transition or even the train have some kind of
purchase you know food or drinks because obviously on the trains can be a lot
cheaper we’ll see obviously that’s not our train otherwise
we’ll be completely freaking out right now our snacks she’s gonna be in care each elf which is
going to be right there we’re going to start lighting up and we’re boarding the train so we get on the train and we were told
you absolutely bring our passport because you would be able to get on the
train without your passport and they looked at our tickets look at the
passports didn’t open them just take it on the train I can’t believe we are on a train
through Machu Picchu which is so exciting I can’t and it has even windows
on the ceiling so we can look around whatever you want and it’s about maybe
two hour journey nothing too much would be too yeah I should be I think it’s
about two hours so pretty excited I’m hoping no one sits in front of us
because we can get all that legroom but that’s not gonna happen that we can they
have a good best friend who should have got that I’m certainly think maybe the train with
the windows on the ceiling are weren’t the greatest idea first of all it’s
really warm in this train if we’ve been kind of stalling for about five minutes
now I’m not exactly sure what’s going on one of our Co passengers is also sort of
trying to hang up a makeshift curtain window and I went into the restroom and
applied sunscreen well as you can see it’s a full Sun not trying to be
negative just telling it like it is positive side we are going to see much
of you – yeah the negative side is we’re stopping we may never get there start
getting a red right here yeah there we go removing tor sorry it’s kind of noisy the
bathroom is really lean in the toilet theater told paper paper towel into the
same so and most importantly actually this window where you can actually film
just on your eye level this slightly outside the window we are almost a machu picchu station in
about two minutes we are going to be docking Qadhafi land a land arriving and
then all of a sudden it’s gotten too cool in here from yet another step
because of sun went away most of the time we actually get like underneath the
Sun so it felt pretty hot yeah it’s pretty cloudy Dagestan for another
couple hours now I’m excited almost here almost there
please and gentlemen in a few minutes we’ll be arriving at the final station
machu picchu pueblo please remain in your seats until the train has come to a
complete stop and make sure you have all of your hair I’m gonna say I would never
ever ever complain about the scenery on that train but I’m not a big fan of the
temperature however I’m really glad to get off the train and see all of this
around us and the fresh air amazing we might have given you an impression that
we’re going to Machu Picchu right away but we’re not we’re going to be sleeping
here tonight and getting up and having a ticket at 6 o’clock tomorrow morning
which means we get into my to beat you first like a maze of artists and stuff
to get out from the station oh my god this is crazy really to get out from a
station it is just a maze of stuff it’s nuts so much stuff no we’re going maybe
let’s go downstairs but that’s plenty to do here Michael
what a place to be setting up a football game at least you can breathe out there
so you get a fool breath yeah believe it or not even though it looks like we’re
way up in the mountains which we Cana are we are about at least a thousand
meters lower than we are so it’s much easier to breathe here yeah we just
check it out hustle and now we’re about to have for a very late lunch and I’m
star let’s go a restaurant is right behind us
we had a good pizza there it’s really really weird though we were sitting in
there and also we felt this really big Brum bowl I mean we didn’t think was an
earthquake or anything but it was at the Train this is the main street and the
train runs through it that was weird don’t know what to say after pizza lunch
which is cost about 30 US dollars everything’s expensive here our less
task is to figure out the transportation tomorrow we get six o’clock entrance to
Machu Picchu and in order to get there that’s about 20 minute maybe bus ride
from I’ll go for the endless so instead of trying to figure everything out at
five o’clock in the morning that’s where we’re gonna do now we went to the bus
station and then it turned out that they need our passports in order to buy the
tickets so we have to go back and they actually closed at 10:00 o’clock anyway
so we’re just gonna wait until later on tonight where are we gonna get the
ticket we have given our passport for every little thing that we’ve done in
Peru it just doesn’t make any sense anyway isn’t it beautiful it supposed to be the medians one way
when you get on but you don’t get off so we get the ticket we have to think okay
$24 for face the 15 minute ride basically it looks like the trash picked
up you see how the speeder those things it speed down the tracks
the bits things cool for city that actually doesn’t really have anything
much to do it’s actually putting a little well lit up yeah it’s beautiful
actually but all right there’s absolutely nothing to do here but eat
and do tourist things and I just read someone’s posts about aguas calientes
and she said that everything is expensive here because they produce
nothing so everything has to be imported from other cities it just exists solely
because of tourism yeah much Picchu that’s the reason if that is here yep
but we’re near glad to be here we walk around the night which is a town that we have to go to
about two hours outside of Cusco to catch a train yeah so our plan today is
just to go to you said everything that I need to say I don’t trust pictures don’t
know if that was but everybody seems just banging in the door we are heading
to a place called ie or yen Tumbo or en tomboy and something
like that I don’t think that’s quite right yeah so from my in tight on bow
okay thank you oh yeah oh yeah there you go we’ll get
it right big bags our bags I’ve ever had mustard on
