Come si usa Enjoy [TUTORIAL] (ENG SUBS)

Hello dear We Drive friends, and welcome to a new video I’m in Turin, driving a car equipped by Enjoy, the Italian car-sharing service So I’ll explain how this service works We previously saw how car2go works So today we’ll focus on the Italian counterpart, Enjoy Before that, please subscribe to our channel, turn on future video notifications with the bell And follow us on FB and IG Before focusing on this service, let me give space to myself from some hours ago: how did I book this car? All you have to do, when booking a car, is clicking on an Enjoy car icon on this map Let’s wait for the directions It’s a Fiat 500, currently parked in Via Nuoro You’re supposed to be near to the car’s position Confirm, and confirm So I booked the car This is the timer of my reservation, before it expires “Open the car” then appears You have to insert a code displayed on the car itself And then I tap on “Open the car”, the car will open So you get in the car and you are ready to go I hope you understood this very simple way of booking a car Now let’s try to understand where to find these cars Right now I’m in Turin Turin has about 250 of these cars Then there’s Milan, Florence, Bologna and Rome of course The fault in Enjoy, compared to car2go, is the number of cars Enjoy has very few cars compared to car2go Of course the number of these cars is proportional to the dimension of the city you’re in Let’s jump straight into the costs You can rent a Fiat Doblò, but let’s stick to the Fiat 500 example There’s only one price for the Fiat 500 0,25 Euros per minute A good thing about Enjoy, compared to car2go Is the unique price: having just the 500 (or the Doblò if you need a van), they offer just one price With car2go you pay 0,24 Euros per minute with the Smart Fortwo, 0,26 Euros with the Fourfour Now, based on your location, you could pay 0,19 Euros for the Fortwo and 0,31 for the Fourfour In the suburbs it’s cheaper And you’ll pay more downtown I don’t like this and when I can, I use Enjoy instead of car2go And also the price: if I have the choice in front of me, I’ll choose Enjoy Pay attention: you could have a free ride with Enjoy! Before starting to shoot this video, I refueled this car I had 23% of fuel, now 100% When you see a car with the fuel pump logo on its icon, in the Enjoy app That car can be refueled for free in the Eni gas stations These stations will have the Enjoy logo on it When you pick the car, you choose the gas station near you You choose it and drive to it You stop the car, you click on “End rent” and click on the yellow fuel icon The GPS detects the station you’re in And the app lets you insert the gas pump number Pump 1, Pump 2, in my case was Pump 4 After this, you can refuel the car Of course this refill will be payed by Enjoy automatically, by using the app You finish to fill the tank, put it back and go back inside the car Start the car and keep on going on your trip After this, you’ll get a 5 Euror credit bonus on your account Let me give you an example Today I wanted to shoot this tutorial, I chose this car and noticed I had a station 150m away from me It took me 2 minutes to get there 2 minutes=0,50 Euros After filling up the car, I found myself with a 4,50 Euros credit bonus for my next Enjoy trip So this trip right now is costing me almost nothing thanks to this credit bonus A very useful feature, Enjoy thanks you for filling up their car by giving you 5 Euros of credit So these were the costs of the car On screen now you get prices for the Doblò, useful if you have to transport big things Let’s assume you buy big furniture from Ikea: you book a Doblò and go home Pros and cons of car-sharing: this is very useful if you have public transport passes Unless you have free parking near your office, using car-sharing every day can be difficult You have to be sure you find a free road parking spot, you get fines if you park in a private spot So parking could be an issue Keep in mind the available cities are big cities, finding a parking spot is hard If you live in a zone with lots of open parking spaces or work near it, lucky you, use car-sharing! Of course you always have to consider if the car is available or somebody else book it My advice is: rely on public transport, if there isn’t, use car-sharing A quick example: 4 friends We go to the cinema, the cinema is 8 minutes away from us 8 minutes=2 Euros with Enjoy 0,50 Euros per person It’s cheaper than 1,70 Euros for a single bus ticket (here in Turin) The cons of car-sharing are the ones I told you a minute ago Parking spots Finding a park spot in Rome, Milan, Florence, Turin or Bologna is hard So you could risk: 5 minutes for a 3km drive But you could end up spending 20 minutes just to find a parking spot You can’t leave the car in the middle of the road, just on free and toll road parking spots Another con The amount of cars There are zones with lots of traffic but very few car-sharings available So you could end up walking for some kilometres just to get a car Of course there’s bike sharing You take a bike to get to the car, it could be an idea Another big con of Enjoy is the availability in airports Car2go wins here Turin’s airport, Caselle, is outside the city The airport has 16 car2go parking spots, Enjoy has none It’s sad because it would be cheaper, in a group, than getting an airport shuttle to downtown So that’s how the Enjoy car-sharing service works Please subscribe to our channel, turn on future video notifications by clicking on the bell And follow us on FB and IG
