CMAExamAcademy.com where we help candidates like you
pass the CMA exam the first time. The CMA designation
has made a huge impact in my life. It has opened doors for me to work
as a Corporate Controller and also end up earning six figures per year. But my story is not the exception,
my story is the norm. So how much can a CMA working
in the United States make per year? Let’s dive into the salary survey. It really pays to hold the CMA certification. The survey found that CMAs earned 31% more,
than non-certified peers. 31% more! The salary survey also showed that
CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) earned 22% more than non-certified peers. So we have a CMA, who earned
31% more than non-certified and then the CPA, who earned
22% more than non-certified. When it comes to salaries,
age also plays a factor, of course, and with the CMA, is no exception. CMAs between the age of 20 and 29
earn on average $79,000. CMAs between 30 and 39 years of age
they earn on average annually $101,500. CMAs between the ages of 40 and 49
earn on average $128,000. And lastly, CMAs who are 50 years old or older,
earn $135,000 per year. Based on how much you make today, how close are you to the salary
in the age bracket that I’ve provided? Drop me a comment below,
just a percentage, I’m just curious to see how close
people are in general to these CMA salaries. Now, on average, which industry has
the highest salaries for CMAs? Manufacturing, which 30% of CMAs work in,
commands a salary for CMAs of $112,500. In the wholesale and retail trade,
the average CMA salary is $106,000. When it comes to educational services,
the average CMA salary is $104,000. In information technology, in other words in IT, by the way, CMAs do work in IT which is awesome. So if you have an inclination towards technology, you don’t have to be in the accounting function only,
you can also work in technology. Anyways, so in IT, the average annual salary
for CMAs is really close to $103,000. And finally, in finance, insurance and real estate,
CMAs earn on average $101,000 per year. As you can see, CMAs work in various industries
in different types of work, so don’t feel like you have to stay
in the accounting function in your company if there’s something you prefer
to do differently. If you prefer to work in real estate, in finance,
in technology, and business analytics, the expertise you gain from the CMA certification will help you move across
different functions of a corporation. So while it’s incredibly clear that having a CMA
is very advantageous from a salary perspective, respondents from the survey were asked
how has the CMA designation impacted their career. So I think this is a great question to ask. Respondents holding the CMA designation said that it created opportunities, like I said before,
to move around different parts of the organization, and 83% of respondents agreed with this. So if you ever had a question
about whether the CMA designation is worth it, I hope that this video shed light
on salary potential based on industry age, as well as comparing the CPA, the CMA,
and the non-certified salaries, the overwhelming majority believed that the CMA is absolutely worth
your time and investment. Now, in order to get to his level of compensation, you first need to invest in
obtaining your CMA designation, and I want to share that with you next. But before I do, I would like to send you
